About Charutar Arogya Mandal
Charutar Arogya Mandal is a venture of faith established in the year 1972, by the former home and finance minister of India, a native of Dharmaj, Late. Dr. H M Patel. An astute ICS officer, Dr. Patel, with a number of academic institutions named honouring him, had the vision to create an evolving healthcare system in Charotar that would not only offer the best medical services to the rural counterparts in the most dignified way but also create resources to sustain the mission of service. ‘Solace for the suffering’, is what he envisioned, and built an organization that evolved as much in services, as in faith.
Mandal, with a humble beginning of 130-bed hospital and a nursing school, has today grown to become an accredited 1000-bed multi-specialty healthcare facility with a medical college, a physiotherapy institute, a school and a college of nursing, institutes of laboratory technology and allied health sciences, and a centre of public health. The hospital also has dedicated, modern centres of care for Cancer, Cardiac, Bone Marrow Transplant, Diagnostics and Critical Care.
