Our Founder Chairman, Dr. H M Patel embarked on building an institution that he envisioned would fill the need long-felt, that for a faculty of Medicine, not many thought would succeed. But determined he was to succeed and went about his task with the same missionary zeal and enthusiasm that characterized much of his work in building Vallabh Vidyanagar.

Over the years Charutar Arogya Mandal has been a one-stop destination for almost all Healthcare needs, catering to all segments of society. Its educational institutions offering quality education in the field of medicine train students not only to be apt medical caregivers but professionals who handle their responsibilities with sensitivity and ethics. The Mandal has always been guided by the philosophy of its founder Chairman, Dr. H M Patel, to be a shining example of what the profession of medicine has to be –noble, deeply rooted in providing solace to the suffering, and continually upgrading itself to serve humanity.

In September 2019, all the institutions managed by Mandal were conferred the status of a state private University- the Bhaikaka University. And since then, Charutar Arogya Mandal has become the supporting body to the University. 

Bhaikaka University

Bhaikaka University was a much-cherished dream relentlessly pursued by the Mandal for many years with an intent to enable to initiate academic programmes in niche areas of medical specialties to provide job-oriented courses in the changing Healthcare environment. As a result of these efforts, the H M Patel Centre for Medical Care and Education, managed by the Charutar Arogya Mandal (CAM), was conferred the status of a private University- Bhaikaka University with effect from September 25, 2019, through a notification under the Gujarat Private Universities Amendment Act, 2019.
