The Charutar Arogya Mandal has established a separate research body, the Chaturar Arogya Mandal Medical Research Society. The Government of India's Directorate of Scientific and Industrial Research has recognized the Society which is registered under the Bombay Trust Act, 1950 and the Societies Act, 1860. The Society undertakes research in the areas of epidemiological studies and the advancement of diagnosis, therapy and prevention of prevalent diseases. The Society's work includes provision of research facilities in related disciplines such as clinical sciences and community health.

The Society management works through two committees: the Research Council establishes policy guidelines for research and the Research Advisory Committee approves research projects that conform to the guidelines. Dr. Amrita Patel, Chairman of the Charutar Arogya Mandal, heads the Research Society. Dr. BR Patel, an eminent cardiologist, chairs the Research Advisory Committee. Since its inception in 1984, nearly 150 research projects have been approved by the Society.

Contributions to the Charutar Arogya Mandal Medical Research Society are eligible for a weighted deduction of 125% of the amount under Section 35(1)(ii) of the Income Tax Act.
