Naming Special Bed Units:
Economically
better off patients earn the Hospital revenue that helps meet the
cost of free and subsidized treatment to patients in general wards.
The Mandal has renovated two 10-unit wards to attract these patients.
Each unit has a patient bed, cot for relatives, bedside locker and
is separated from other beds by curtains to ensure privacy for the
patient and relatives. An individual unit costs Rs. 2.50 lakhs (US$
5,250); an entire 10 unit ward will require a contribution of Rs.
25 Lakhs (US$ 52,500).
The Mandal would welcome contributions to equip these special bed
units. It is the Mandal's policy to provide prominently displayed
plaques with the name of
Individual unit donors; naming the ward after the donor will recognize
the donation of a 10-unit ward.

Upgrading the Medical Intermediate Care Unit
The
Hospital's Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is the Hospital's best-equipped
and run department. The eight-bed Intermediate Care Unit meets the
needs of ICU patients who require observation before shifting to
other wards. In order to fully-equip the Intermediate Care Unit,
it will be necessary to purchase a ventilator, defibrillator, bedside
monitors and ECG machines. The estimated cost is Rs. 10 lakhs (US$
21,000).
The equipment required and their cost is as follows:
Contributions would be suitably acknowledged by placing a plaque
outside the Intermediate Care Unit.
The Mandal would welcome contributions that will help us to fully
equip the Medical Intermediate Care Unit. It is our policy to recognize
contributions for individual equipment with a prominent plaque.
When an entire facility is donated, it is named after the donor.
