 Set
up by the late Dr. H.M. Patel, the Charotar Arogya Mandal seeks
to provide the best medical care and facilities for medical education
to the people of Charutar. Founded in 1972, the Mandal has created
the HM Patel Centre for Medical
Care and Education at
its 100-acre campus in Karamsad. The Centre includes five institutions
of excellence:
The Mandal's President is Dr. IG Patel, former Governor of the
Reserve Bank of India. Its Chairman and Executive Head is Dr. Amrita
Patel who also serves as Chairman of India's National Dairy Development
Board.
